Right, some one has WAY too much spare time, WAY too much snow, and a strange obsession with Calvin and Hobbes. I tried something like this once. It was near impossible.
I love that I don’t even go to MTU and i recognized this instantly. Carnival was the best years of my life. Does anyone know which hall this is in front of? Huskies all the way!
Well, too bad I’m never that kind of awesome, reproductive wasted. If I were, my garden would be filled with awesome snow figures, now it’s pretty empty :S
But… “canibalistic”? Are all snow creatures considered the same species? Or maybe the creature used to be a snowman, but was a horrible accident involvng a radiation leak in a mad genetic engineer’s lair which was built on a chemical dump site?
This looks a lot like the campus of Michigan Technological University.
I love that one of the tags for this is ‘Calvin & Hobbes’. Compound Epic Win.
Straight from Calvin and Hobbes!!!
Thats what i was thinking!

It is from Michigan Tech’s Winter Carnival from 2006. The theme was “Cartoon Art for the Young at Heart.”
looks like Michigan State .. hmm.. all colleges in Michigan look alike
Whoever made this deserves to go straight to heaven after they die at age 117.
Haha! I actually helped make this statue! Glad people appreciate our work. GO HUSKIES!!!
117? Why not round it to a nice, even 120?

This picture so fiercely wins that I can’t stand it. The only thing it’s missing is a T Rex in an F14.
EXACTLY.
it also needs the giant chicken!

amen to that! *salutes out-of-print comics*
That’s Wadswourth Hall at Michigan Tech. My dorm was just past the left edge of this photo. Very cool.
Now we know what college Calvin went to.
C&H – *YYYYYES!!!!* WAHAHAHAHA
Oh my god Calvin and Hobbes! I always wanted to make this. XD
Calvin and Hobbes reference! ZOMG!!

Bill Waterson’s dream comes to life : D seriously? this is FREAKIN EPIC!
I CAN’T be the only person who thinks that looks like the Great Mighty Poo.
I love that I don’t even go to MTU and i recognized this instantly. Carnival was the best years of my life. Does anyone know which hall this is in front of? Huskies all the way!
Even better is the knowledge that the people building this statue in the freezing cold were completely wasted because it was Winter Carnival. MTU FTW!
Well, too bad I’m never that kind of awesome, reproductive wasted.

You don’t need to make a bunch, just make one and bring it to life.
This was my hall freshman year, knighthouse, 4th floor west Wads. There was a lot more to the statue, many more comic scenes from C&H.
And we took like 5th place behind a shitty cereal boat.
Haha, efin A, I was there..
OH MY GOD it looks like Abe Lincoln is in the window back there. LOL.
I am in awe ..
C&H@MTU FTW
That is pretty darn awesome.
But… “canibalistic”? Are all snow creatures considered the same species? Or maybe the creature used to be a snowman, but was a horrible accident involvng a radiation leak in a mad genetic engineer’s lair which was built on a chemical dump site?
I see Calvin’s family has moved into the neighborhood.
This is from calvin and Hobes. Calvin had made this and his dad was thinking about how they dont give kids enoufe homework…
I love that comic!
Was going past this and just though “damn that looks like wads…”
whoa!
how did they do that? Did they reinforce it with wood or something? the tentacle holding up a snowman…classic!
Calvin and Hobbes!
