Anyone else ever notice that modern art has to be composed of shit other people have thrown away, shit that’s been vandalized (like hotel rooms covered in cheese), or just plain shit (Like the ‘artist’ that canned hsi bowel movements for 365 days and called it art)?
This is why the government has no business using MY tax money to subsidize artists. If the art is that good it wouldn’t need to be subsidized– someone would buy it like any other product.
This is an interesting use of perspective, but I can’t look at it without seeing a mound of trash and a colossal waste of time and energy.
It’s good – but they used canvas and paint for part of it. that’s cheating a bit. The photographer screwed up a little so you can see it at 9 and 10 o’clock. it’s also at 4.
Oh my god! its the Ruskin Mill womble; Angus Gordon the head of the trust!!! I see robin williams in there, I dont see ghandi or obama in there. Abstract art is mostly made out of old tat and does not look like anything worth while. But i have seen some prespective based sculptures, like this face for example. I wouldnt buy one as I woulod make one, but not out of random trash, it would have to be made out of epoxy/fibreglass, fabricated metal and cast metals.
BOY! The trash around here is getting out of hand… now it seems to be structuring itself into a life-form!! Where is the garbage man from Dilbert when you need him!?
Wow. My brain can’t even begin to figure out what this was originally. Awesome.
I believe that originally it was a bunch of *individual* pieces of garbage.
What he means is, he can’t distinguish the actual image, because he cannot break out of the perception of the face.
This is trippy. With a capital Fucking.
I saw the garbage, but the moment my brain processed the face, I now can’t see anything else. Damn pattern-recognition software.
wait…who is it? I see A face but I don’t get who it is.
wait…who is this of?
I’m not a Palin loving Repube just being an ass but it looks lIke Obama
oh sh*t my eyes hurt now….
but this pic is awesome
MIND FUCK!
Hey look, it’s Tay Zonday!!!
*face-palms* NOT Tay Zonday >_<
here's a hint : The Existence of cosmic time functions.
orange, I am disappoint
Yay! More art made out of trash!

looks like obama!
that… is unbelievable!
LOOK!!! ITS MY BOSS!!!
This is amazing! Coolest thing I’ve seen in a long time…
I don’t know. How does it look in profile?
(Kidding! Very impressive. I never see anything at all when I take out the garbage.)
certifiably epic.
Perspective is failing me right now.
Dali has obviously been doing some spring-cleaning…
Anyone else see Gandhi?
Yes!
That was my first thought. Glad to see I’m not the only one that saw gandhi.
I didn’t but now I do, and that’s my favorite one so far.
Never mind, someone else saw Dick Cheney, way more fitting. Sorry.
Totally
I thought it was blatantly obvious but apparently it isn’t to some.
It’s Tobias Funke! The world’s first analrapist!
Blowin’ mah mind- your doin it rite
ah, pareidolia – the pattern recognition software that 2xInfinity mentions.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia
The artist that created this sculpture and image has hacked our brains.
Great portrait of D!ck Cheney! Oddly enough… This is the same technique he and Bush used to find WMD in Iraq.
Last night I could not figure out who it was supposed to be. It sure does look like Dick Cheney. How appropriate that they used garbage for this.
He’s to happy to be dick cheney, you never see cheney smile
Maybe Garbage Cheney spent the morning shooting friends in the face… One can only speculate about what makes a man like that happy.
This looks like David Cross in Arrested Development. It especially reminds me of some of the head shots o Tobias’ portfolio.
This is what someone that’s Tunnelbrained looks like.
i saw Tobias Funke…
Huh, I saw Robin Williams… I like my perception more
Me too! And everyone else is like Gandhi and Im like..huh i saw Robin Williams loL
If you take a few steps back it goes from trippy to mindfuck.
It looks like the KFC guy to me XD Anyone else see the KFC guy?
Could be anyone, really. I see Freud, myself.
It’s good – but they used canvas and paint for part of it. that’s cheating a bit. The photographer screwed up a little so you can see it at 9 and 10 o’clock. it’s also at 4.
You’re an idiot.
It’s obama!

I see Al Roker.
Have no idea where that came from.
Looks like Robin Williams to me as well.
Am I the only one who sees Bill Murray in it?
i spy the KFC guy!
This was my first thought too!
I see Ghandi

This looks a lot like Terry Pratchett. Specifically, it looks like a reproduction of the picture that is on the back of a lot of his books. For those outside of the U.K. he’s a British author. Here is a link to his photo.

Here’s a video of the work:
Buckminster Fuller, right?
