How do you know? Maybe he put the toaster on the lightest setting, which on our toaster wouldn’t make bread dark enough to be visible, especially at this distance.

I made Toast Mario in March, 2010 in my Seattle apartment. It took seven loaves of dumpster-dived Safeway bread and a bagel.

Actually, there’s a mistake here. Mario’s eyes in the 8-bit sprite are two pixels tall; they connect diagonally with his stache/nose. So… better remake this and toast that one piece of bread…
